Explore the beauty of Ha Long bay on land

At 08:00AM meet with your guide and driver for a 2.5 hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to Ninh Binh Province — one of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam with its dramatic scenery and historical temples. Upon arrival, take a sampan ride along the Ngo Dong River through the scenic landscape of Tam Coc – Bich Dong, a 350 ha area of karst mountain scattered over the lush wetland with paddy fields. This area is referred to as “an inland Ha Long bay” for its strikingly similar water-and-rock terrain features. You will go pass through three big caves which feature the area’s name (Tam Coc means three caves in Vietnamese) and which represent a host of local rocky caves and grottoes.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you make a short transfer down a peaceful countryside road to Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital eleven centuries ago. Here, spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le temples of the Ancient Capital Hoa Lu which are dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the founders of the ancient capital during the 10th century. Continue the visit to Hang Mua (Mua Cave) with 500 step up to the top of Mua Mountain. On the top, you have a most spectacular 360° view of the entire region, the Red River Delta on the East and the mountains on the other sides.

Late afternoon we go back to Hanoi.
