Hanoi - Ha Giang - Quang Ba ( L,D)

Early departure for Ha Giang - an extreme province of Tonkin via Tuyen Quang with the beautiful teahills. Taking the photo during stops on the way. Lunch on the road.

Arrival in the town of Ha Giang, after getting the permission to enter the border region, then drive up the highlands by taking the Quang Ba collar - the heavenly gate called by the natives. 

Dinner and overnight in Quang Ba.

Quan Ba - Dong Van (B,L,D)

After the picnic breakfast, en route (to 160km - 4h) to Dong Van, we made stop to visit to ethnic minority villages along the route: the Pho Bang village where the Han live - Chinese origin and the Pho Cao village where we see the house built from the clay and stone, with the fence by walls of blue stones surround. Simple lunch during the trip local restaurant. 

In the afternoon, continue the road to Dong Van, visit the H'mong king's house, located in the region where the H'mong dominated in the past and then continue the trip to the furthest point of Lung Cu where the national flag plant on the peak for a view to China and a beautiful panorama. Back to Dong Van town for the evening. 

Overnight at hotel.

Dong Van market every Sunday - Meo Vac (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we follow the minority people go to the multi-colored market - a lively fair held once a week - where the youth meet not only each other but also they do the purchases, we spend a whole morning for strolling to the market or take photos and see the real minority market. Lunch in town.

In the afternoon, we take a walk around the city of Dong Van and then depart to go to Meo Vac. Dinner - Evening town of Meo Vac. Overnight at hotel.

Meo Vac - Cao Bang (B,L,D)

Having breakfast, early departure for Cao Bang, passing the beautiful mountain scenery and especially two great passes to pass: the Long Luong and Keng Pan. Visits, stops and meetings with ethnic minorities along the road. 

Simple lunch at the local restaurant on the way.

Check-in Cao Bang at the end of the day, then transfer to hotel. Evening and dinner in Cao Bang city.

Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall - Cao Bang (B,L,D)

Start the day by visiting Ban Gioc - the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam located between China and Vietnam - it deserves beautiful photos and to stay here the whole day.

Lunch picnic and then go visit the Nguom Ngao Cave (Tiger Cave) and then drive back to Cao Bang Town. Stops along the way for walks in the villages of Tay edge and taking photos. 

Evening dinner and overnight homestay - Tay ethnic minority.

Cao Bang - Ba Be (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we leave Cao Bang, then drive to Pac Bo, a border region with China with the very complex terrain covered by karst peaks and the plants. This was the first refuge of Ho Chi Minh in 1941 after 30 years abroad, and also the first military base of Viet Minh during the Indochina war. 

Return to Cao Bang for lunch and drive to Ba Be, via the beautiful road that is oriented towards the Bao Lac neck (neck of the Wind).                                                

Stopover at the top of the pass that makes you some interesting and strange impressions. We meet at the roadside the Thos (Tay) and Yao Tien (in aspect), the women go to the market on foot, they are smiling and asking us "When you come" "This is our beautiful country?". 

Dinner and night at homestay.

Ba Be - walks (B,L,D)

Having breakfast a little later than usual, we start to make discoveries in this beautiful region with a cruise in the Ba Be lake, visit the Dong Puong cave and Dau Dang waterfall.

Lunch at the restaurant or bearded Mr. Pirate (called by the European funny). A short cruise back and then a hike through the villages lying by the lakeside. 

Attend the preparation of dinner with the family. Dinner and overnight in the same house.

Ba Be - Thai Nguyen - Hanoi (B,L)

After breakfast, drive back to Hanoi via Thai Nguyen. 

Lunch in Thai Nguyen City and then drive back to Hanoi.
