Vietnam's history is very long and endured by many conflicts and wars that have prevented its development and image among Entire countries worldwide.


Today, Vietnam is unified and independent stably develops after the full opening in 2007 - official membership in the WTO.

The historical milestones summarized as follows:

* 279-258 BC. J. -C: legendary Hung dynasty , ruling the country Van Lang

* 257-208 BC. J. -C: kingdom of Âu Lac with the reign of King An Duong Vuong and fall in the hands of feudal Chinese

* 208 BC. J. -C: Foundation by General Zhao Tuo of Viet Nam ("Viets countries of the South")

* 111 BC. J. -C: Viet Nam invaded by the Han (Chinese)

* Second Century foundation of the kingdom of Champa in Annam , in the region of Hue

* 446: invasion of Champa by the Chinese

* 679-868: general protectorate of Annam

* 938: Ngo Quyen rebellion, which founded an independent state, ended a long period of Chinese occupation (111-938) and proclaimed himself emperor

* 965: insurrection Twelve Lords, who proclaim themselves independent in the North

* 968: victory Đinh Bo Linh Twelve Lords and the founding of the unified Empire of Dai Co Viet installed the kingdom to Hoa Lu

* May 7, 1954: French defeat at Dien Bien Phu, after capturing the living general De Castries

* 20 July 1954: signature of the Geneva Agreements, partition of the country at the 17th parallel with the North, a communist state, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRV or North Vietnam), founded by Ho Chi Minh and south, the Republic of Vietnam (RVN or South Vietnam), the Nationalist regime and market economy by Ngo Dinh Diem proclaimed

* 1956: refusal by the President of the Republic of Vietnam, Ngo Dinh Diem, to hold elections; arrival of the first U.S. military advisers; reactivation of networks Việt Minh in the South

* 1959-1975: Vietnam War

* January-February 1968: Tet Offensive

* 1972: Bombing B52 with U.S. Air Forces in the northern sky

* March 2, 1973: signing of Paris : Richard Nixon withdrew most of its troops

* 30 April 1975: defeat of the South , North and victory of Viet Cong, end of the Vietnam War

* July 2, 1976: official reunification in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam with Hanoi capital; At the same time, Saigon became Ho Chi Minh City

* September 20, 1977: admission of Vietnam to the United Nations (UN)

* June 1978: admission to the Comecon (Council for Mutual Economic Assistance)

* 1979: The Vietnam terminates the Khmer Rouge regime . Occupation of Cambodia

* February-March 1979 : Conflict of the Sino- Vietnamese border

* 23 July 1980: first Vietnamese cosmonaut launched into space Tuan Pham

* 1986: start of the economic opening of Vietnam policy ("Doi moi")

* September 1989: Vietnamese troops finally leave Cambodia

* February 4, 1994: lifting of the U.S. embargo on Vietnam

* July 28, 1995: admission of Vietnam to the Association of Asian Nations ASEAN Southeast

* January 11, 2007: accession of Vietnam to the World Trade Organization (WTO)

* October 16, 2007: Election of Vietnam to a non-permanent member of the Security Council of the United Nations

* 18 April 2008: launch of the first satellite sponsored by the Vietnam VINASAT -1
