Program in details (16 days)

  • Days 1

    Hanoi - Arrival ( D)

    Meet on arrival by our guide at the airport and transfer to the city center. Check-in hotel (at 14.00) for the rest after a long journey by plane.

    Bike tour organized according to your flight plan.

    Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Days 2

    Hanoi - Visit (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    You'll spend all day exploring the Vietnamese capital by bike.

    Visit the major sights by bike: A small lake, a real pearl in the center of the city, the Temple of Literature - Vietnam's first university to the original architecture, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his house on stilts, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple, the Ethnology Museum

    Lunch and dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.

  • Days 3

    Hanoi - Cycling - Lao Cai (B/L/D )

    Departure from your hotel at 8:00, cycling to pass historic Long Bien Bridge (the old name is Paul Doumer) and then along the Red River dike towards the River Thap Duong deep sound that left the heart of every Vietnamese because of the beautiful countryside and the tranquility of the river for irrigation. 

    Many bordering river village temples, making a major attraction of the area formerly known as the Northern Capital (Beijing). This tour will allow you to really immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the life of residents of the Red River Delta.

    You will go through several small villages before reaching the temple tower But you will stop for lunch at local resto on the way. Visiting this temple before continuing on your bike trip to East Lake in a popular village, crossing the deep rural areas of Vietnam. Visit the home of artisan Nguyen Dang Che is famous for its traditional painting. 

    Late afternoon, return to Hanoi by car. 

    After the dinner, transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train to Lao Cai/ Soft sleeper air conditioned - 4 berths sharing compartment.

  • Days 4

    Lao Cai - Sapa - Bicycle tour (B/L/D)

    Arrive at Lao Cai in the early morning. Direct transfer to Sapa and then a small shower in a mini-hotel prior to cycling in the villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van in the rich valley of Muong Hoa, one of the most beautiful places with fantastic scenery mountains, rice terraces. You'll meet the Black H' mong, Red Dao...

    Lunch in the village of Susan and then continue pedaling to Ho's village inhabited by the Tay. Here you have the opportunity to see how people live there surrounded by rice terraces and vegetable gardens houses. 

    A walk to the waterfall climb to visit the Red Yao village of Nam Toong. The vehicle you were looking for and returns you to Sapa. 

    Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight in Sapa.

  • Days 5

    Sapa - Ma Tra - Ta Phin - Hanoi (B/L/D)

    Day of cycling and walking to visit the villages of Ma Tra and Ta Phin inhabit the Red Dao and H'mong minorities Black. Their houses are surrounded by rice terraces and mountains endless chains. Along the way you will have beautiful views of the rice fields, you will meet the children in the schools in these two villages. Visit a broken church roof, where a few remaining vestiges of the French colonial time. 

    In the late afternoon, return to Lao Cai station by car.

    Quick dinner in the local restaurant before the station.

    Night train to Hanoi. Shower before getting on the train/ Soft sleeper air-conditioned - 4 berth sharing compartment.

  • Days 6

    Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

    Early arrival in Hanoi, transfer to Halong vehicle. Along with arrival at around 12:30, and then boarding to our cruise in 24h and navigate to Bai Tu Long Bay (bay daughter) through the legendary Halong Bay. 

    You take lunch contemplating to unfold before your eyes jewels which formed the eighth wonder of the world: the Bai Chay Bridge and countless loaves of sugar to change forms. You will experience exactly as Catherine De Neuve, the set of the film "Indochine".

    After a two hours cruise, arriving at Vung Vieng floating village hidden under the foot of the mountains flooded. Visit the home of the village culture, the pearl oyster farms, homes on the water. Kayaking around the village exploring the natural beauty.

    Back to your cruise ship to 4:30 p.m. You relax contemplating the sunset as the ship goes to the park for the night. 

    Dinner and overnight on board.

     

  • Days 7

    Halong Bay - Hue (B/L/D)

    Enjoy the sunrise on the upper deck of the boat (for days without fog). Kayaking to Luon cave, and then visit the Sung Sot cave for an hour about.

    Back on the Junk and then release your cabin before taking brunch (early lunch) 

    Landing around 11:30, and then drive back to Hanoi, direct transfer to airport for flight to Hue. Meet on arrival by our local guide and transfer to hotel in the center of the city.

    Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight in Hue.

  • Days 8

    Hue - Bicycle tour (B/L/D)

    After breakfast, explore the city by bike: Visit the Imperial City, the only one of the ancient royal cities that remains today. The citadel, protected by walls 60 meters high, is surrounded by a wide moat and 10 km long. Visit the village of conical hats.

    Small sampan ride on the Perfume River, the romantic river is renowned Hue, to the Thien Hau Pagoda, Buddhist shrine dating from the mid 17th century, built on the remains of a temple Field. Visit the Tu Duc King's tomb -  poet Nguyen, followed by a walk to Dong Ba market, the largest and oldest of Hue. Back to the hotel late afternoon.

    Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Hue.

  • Days 9

    Hue - Danang - Hoi An (B/L/D)

    Depart to the ancient port town of Hoi An via the Lang Co beach, or you will leave the car to start pedaling on the famous Hai Van (Cloud) pass. 

    Arrive at Danang, the metropolis center, stop to visit Cham Museum and Marble Mountain. Arriving in Hoi An in the late afternoon. 

    Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight in Hoi An.

  • Days 10

    Hoi An - Visit (B/L/D)

    Day of exploring the city on foot to better see the delightful ambience of Hoi An Ancient town. Learn more about its fascinating history dating from the 17th century. 

    Visit some traditional houses, the fishing port, markets, temples and congregations Japanese bridge and art to meet local artisans galleries. Take a dip in a small factory working silk.

    Today, you also have the chance to live the experience of making clothes stylized custom.

    At sunset, boat trip on the Thu Bon River. Return to the hotel in the afternoon and free time for relaxation at the beach.

    Dinner at the local restaurant and overnight in Hoi An.

  • Days 11

    Hoi An - My Son - Ho Chi Minh (B/L/D)

    Breakfast, then transfer by vehicle to My Son (60km from Hoi An), the former religious center of the kingdom of Champa, Unesco site: 20km from My Son, the minibus down to pedal. 

    Once arrived a bike ride through the forest before reaching a series of temples built there several centuries. In the afternoon, transfer by car to Danang airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh. 

    Lunch and dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

  • Days 12

    Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh (B/L/D)

    Morning departure to the northwest of Ho Chi Minh (75km - 1h30 by car) to visit the underground tunnel system in Cu Chi, a striking testimony to the hardness of the Vietnam War, the determination and the ingenuity of the army of Ho Chi Minh.

    Return to Ho Chi Minh. Visit the old French colonial capital with the main historical sites: the Central Post OfficeNotre-Dame Cathedral, the famous Catinat street (Dong Khoi currently). Then departure to Cho Lon market in Chinatown to discover a little more this booming economic capital. Visit Binh Tay market and Thien Hau pagoda called the heavenly Lady.

    Lunch and dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

  • Days 13

    Ho Chi Minh - Can Duoc - Cho Gao - My Tho (B/L/D)

    Transfer to Can Duoc for shipment (40Km Ho Chi Minh), then cruise to Cho Gao, stroll around the market of the same name. 

    Then landing for taking bicycles to Cho Gao on track to My Tho (30km) through the villages, rice fields and gardens. Stops along the way for tasting varieties of tropical fruits.

    On arrival in My Tho in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in My Tho

     

  • Days 14

    My Tho - Cho Lach - Cai Be (B/ L/ D)

    Breakfast at local restaurant, then walk and small sampan in canals, and a cycling trip to the villa

    After lunch at local restaurant, a walk with experiments on monkeys bridges which are found everywhere in the countryside across typical and you will have the opportunity to meet the Nursery of Cho Lach villages. 

    Continue to enjoy sampan to Cai Be. Dinner and overnight at homestay in Cai Be.

  • Days 15

    Cai Be - My Thuan - Ho Chi Minh (B/L/D)

    After breakfast, boarding small boat to discover the Cai Be floating market and visit some traditional crafts in the village, an old house in tasting the fruits of the season. Then bike ride across villages, rice fields along the canals (30km). 

    Catch up your vehicle at Vinh Long and then drive to Sadec. Tour of the city where Mrs. Margueritte Duras was a student at the school of his Mamant (House Lover and his school).

    Back to Ho Chi Minh (200km).

    Farewell Dinner at a restaurant in town and overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

    Ho Chi Minh - Departure (B)

    Morning, free time for rest and personal discover before transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
