Program in details (21 days)

  • Days 1

    Hanoi Arrival (D)

    Arrival in Hanoi. Meet on arrival by our guide and driver and then transfer by private car to the city center where we spend the night at the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or make your first exploration of the city. 

    Welcome dinner at the restaurant accompanied by music.

    Overnight at hotel.

  • Days 2

    Hanoi - City Tour (B/L/D)

    Full day to discover the capital. We start by visiting the Ethnographic Museum which includes the costumes, tools, musical instruments and some houses of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam (closed on Mondays). Then we visit the Temple of Literature which was "the first university of Vietnam" and Tran Quoc Pagoda founded in the 5th century. 

    Visit Ngoc Son Pagoda on Lake Hoan Kiem. Walking in the Old Quarters of Hanoi allows you to understand the local life of the capital: Women in yokes, itinerant shops, rickshaws, neighborhood markets foliage, old buildings with colonial architecture, small street restaurants... 

    In the evening, attend the water puppet show.

  • Days 3

    Hanoi - Mai Chau (B/L/D)

    Early departure for Mai Chau. Arrival at Van village inhabited by the White Thai ethnic group that is representative of the region and meeting with the family of Madame Hien who warmly well welcomes us.

    After a break, walking around the village to have a panoramic view of local life. You can also learn how to weave silk with an old loom.

    The whole afternoon is reserved to explore the daily lives of residents. You will participate in the agricultural production activities of the family as land preparation with a buffalo for nurseries, rice transplanting, harvesting maize or rice, planting vegetables ... 

    If time permits, a bicycle ride with the tour guide to Nhot village. You can see the beautiful scenery of rice fields surrounded by mountains. Stops along the way to meet the locals, visit their homes and a brick oven.

    Dinner with the locals. watch the Thai’s traditional dance and drink the traditional wine “ruou can”. 

    Overnight in the house on stilts in the Van village.

  • Days 4

    Mai Chau - Van Long - Ninh Binh (B/L/D)

    After the breakfast at homestay, transfer to Mai Chau to Ninh Binh via Nho Quan. Arrive at Van Long Nature Reserve in the late morning. 

    Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, starting at the pier in a cart pulled by buffalo or cycling (2 km) through the small villages of the region. You will visit a traditional house, then have a boat trip as local sampan around the natural mountains, admire the wonderful landscape of the tourist area.

    Continue to visit the Dinh and Le temples dating from the 11th century and dedicated to the Dinh and Le Kings.

  • Days 5

    Ninh Binh - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

    Around 8h00 am, we will take the road towards Halong Bay (Vinh Ha Long). The road will reveal a countryside landscape where rice predominates.

    Arrive in Halong and immediate boarding our boat for an exploration of the Bay. We visit caves during the cruise. Seafood meal served by our excellent team.

    Sweet night aboard our comfortable junk in private cabins.

  • Days 6

    Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/L/D)

    Visit the fishing village or Luon cave, before resuming the cruise in Halong Bay among the innumerable islets. 

    Around 11h30, return to the pier of port and drive back to Hanoi. On the way back, visit Phu Lang ceramic village in Bac Ninh. 

    Arrive at Hanoi in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

  • Days 7

    Hanoi - Flight Saigon (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at hote and free time for your own activities until transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Saigon. 

    Arrive at Saigon, welcomed by your guide, transfer to the center of city and check-in hotel (upon the check-in time at 14h00), and free time for a first exploration. 

    Have dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel in Saigon.

  • Days 8

    Saigon (B/L/D)

    Full day to visit the city, start visiting Cho Lon, discover its Old quarters, its market, Thien Hau Temple and Giac Lam Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in the city-based on its architecture, its layout and decoration remain almost intact since its construction in 1744.

    Back in the center of city, visit Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office. 

    In the afternoon, we will visit the Independence Palace and the Ngoc Hoang Temple and finish by the Ben Thanh Market.

  • Days 9

    Saigon - Ben Tre - Long Xuyen (B/L/D)

    We leave the bustling city of Saigon and drive to the Mekong Delta. Arrival at the dock Hung Vung (Ben Tre), we take a boat trip to islets while admiring the scenes of the daily life of the people living along the border (fishing...). 

    Visit a brick oven whose mode of production is highly specialized and the crafts, then this is an opportunity to taste the local honey and many tropical fruits. Back to the boat to visit the production of coconut candy. Walk or bike ride in the village through the gardens of coconut, rice, food crops in dry land.

    Lunch served in the heart of the orchard. Take small rowing boat that will lead us through a maze of arroyos surrounded by two rows of NIPAS, the main waterway of the premises, to return to the pier. 

    Disembark and drive to Long Xuyen via Sa Dec, where we visit Kien An Cung Pagoda and Huynh Thuy Le house of the lover of Madame Marguerite Duras and the Trung Vuong school where his mother, Mrs. Donadieu, taught at this school. 

    Continuation of the road to Long Xuyen. Arriving late in the day.

  • Days 10

    Long Xuyen - Chau Doc (B/L/D)

    Early morning, take a sampan to cruise to the Long Xuyen Floating market, which is very animated and still authentic. 

    We discover the daily activities of people living in the Mekong where thousands of boats are trading ardently. Walking on the Cu Lao Ong Ho Island. Then depart for Chau Doc, a border town with Cambodia

    Departure by boat to visit the fish farm with the cages suspended under floating houses on the river. Continuation of visit the minority Cham's house.

  • Days 11

    Chau Doc - Phnom Penh (B/L/D)

    Depart by speedboat to Phnom Penh from Chau Doc at around 07.00am. Arrive at Phnom Penh around at noon. Time for lunch and rest. 

    In the afternoon, we discover Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, languorous, and visit the National Museum and the Silver Pagoda, which is located inside the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom Pagoda.

  • Days 12

    Phnom Penh - Kampong Thom (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at the hotel, drive 168km towards Kompong Thom, one of the five provinces bordering the Tonle Sap. Visiting en route the Skun market known as the market tarantulas (big spiders). Visit the Temple of Kuhak Nokor. Arrival at Kampong Thom and check-in the hotel.

    After a short break, transfer to the assembly of Sambor Prei Kuk, built in the early 7th century, which was the ancient capital of Chenla. We returned to the center of Kampong Thom after the visits.

  • Days 13

    Kampong Thom - Siem Reap (B/L/D)

    After breakfast, drive about 2,5 hours to Siem Reap. Stop on the way to visit the old bridge in Kampong Kdei. Arrive at Siem Reap, free time for your own activities. 

    Enjoy the Apsara dinner at local restaurant.

  • Days 14

    Siem Reap - Roluos Group - Angkor Wat - Siem Reap (B/L/D)

    Morning tour to the Roluos group (Hariharalaya) which is about 10 km away from the center. The monuments of Roluos, which served as the capital of Indravarman (reigned 877-89), are among the largest temples of the pre-Angkorian period and mark the beginning of the traditional Khmer art.

    Visit Preah Ko erected by Indravarman I in the late 19th century, and Bakong, the largest and most interesting of the Roluos group, of Lolei, with its four brick towers, a replica of Preah Kho, built on an island - now covered by the rice paddies.

    The afternoon is spent exploring the wonderful temple of Angkor Wat, World Heritage, and Phnom Bakheng Temple (mountain).

  • Days 15

    Siem Reap - Banteay Srei - Angkor Thom - Siem Reap (B/L/D)

    In the morning, visit the temple of Banteay Srei (Citadel of Women), dedicated to Shiva whose the architecture and sculptures of pink sandstone bears a series of beautiful sculptures. Then discover Banteay Samre, completely restored before the war. This site gives a good idea of what could well resemble Angkor before.

    Then visit Angkor Thom (Great City) by beginning with the South Gate, the famous Bayon 12th & 13th century Baphuon (11th S.) dedicated to Brahmanism, the Terrace of ElephantsTerrace of Leper King, Phimean Akas (heavenly Palace).

  • Days 16

    Siem Reap - Small Circuit - Grand Circuit - Siem Reap (B/L/D)

    After breakfast, visit the "Small circuit" group: Ta Prohm, where the gigantic trees dominate the monastery, trapping the ruins of their impressive roots as a giant octopus with the tentacles to keep their prey. Continue to visit ThommanonChau Say Teveda, Ta Keo, Banteay Kdei and Srah Srang terrace. 

    Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit of Baray Oriental "Grand Circuit"Pre Rup, Mebon, Tasom, Neak Pean, Preah Khan.

  • Days 17

    Siem Reap - Beng Mealea - Koh Keh - Siem Reap (B/L/D)

    After breakfast at the hotel, you visit the temple of Beng Melea, located 60km east of the city (2 hours by road). It was built in the early 11th century, according to the model of Angkor Wat built by Jayavarman VII. This area is only accessible to the public since 2010! 

    The rough road allows you to see the beautiful countryside. Few tourists go to the temple, which provides an instant adventure. Picnic lunch. Afternoon: transfer to visit Koh Keh.

  • Days 18

    Siem Reap - Tonle Sap - Battambang (B/L/D)

    The morning is devoted totally to the trip on the Tonle Sap, which is connected to the Mekong by a channel 100km long. We leave by boat on the lake, to meet the fishermen and lakeside village on stilts Chongneas.

    Afternoon: 3 hours of drive towards Battambang. Arrival at Battambang, transfer to hotel and overnight in Battambang.

  • Days 19

    Battambang (B/L/D)

    After breakfast, visit the traditional house of Phum Wat Kor and Wat Ek Phnom temple (11th century). On the way back, visit the Wat Slaket pagoda, residence of a Buddhist patriarch and walk in the Prahoc market, the fermented fish paste is used in Cambodian cuisine.

    In the afternoon, you board a bamboo train and do 20 minutes ride via the countryside on this picturesque transport via the railways built a long time ago by the French. 

    Upon arrival, walking through the countryside and discover the local life.

    Overnight in Battambang.

  • Days 20

    Battambang - Phnom Penh (B/L/D)

    After breakfast, return to Phnom Penh. Stop at Pusat where you can admire the colonial architecture and visit a floating village.

    Arrive at Kampong Chhnang, visit the pottery village before reaching Kandal where you will discover the abandoned royal city of Udong, you will discover beautiful temples and statues. 

    Direct transfer to Phnom Penh where you spend the night.

  • Days 21

    Phnom Penh - Departure (B)

    Free time at your leisure and your personal discovery before transferring to Phnom Penh airport for your departure.
