For this cruise, we choose carefully the boat "Le Cochinchine"

This boat "Le cochinchine" has been built by the model of transport boat of traditional rice who’s sailing on the Delta of Mékong. They are 2 bridges: 1 principal bridge and other superior bridge ( 75m²) which will offer you a breath-taking view of the Mékong and its fluvial activities. Each cabin has a private bathroom with a hot shower and hair conditioning.

  • The price is based on a group of 2 travelers sharing a cabin on the boat.

Program in details (3 days)

  • Days 1

    Ho Chi Minh city - Mekong Delta (L,D)

    8.00 am: Departure without the guide for the Delta of Mekong

    10.30 - 11 am: Arrival at the jetty of Cai Be. We will board on the boat where we will have a welcome drink then we will check for your room.

    Landing at the Isle of Cai Thia for a bike ride or walking through the villages bordered by the green orchard and green rice.

    Ride aboard for lunch while our boat continues the cruise to Sa Dec, a charming town on the banks of the Tien River.

    On arrival, visit the brickyard located at the entrance of the village. We continue to the bustling market of Sa Dec and visit the old House of Huynh Le - The house of "The Lover" of Marguerite DURAS, as well as Trung Vuong primary school founded in the early 20th century by the mother of the French novelist.

    In the heart of the village of Sa Dec, we discover a Cao Dai temple and the delicious garden of bonsai and flowers.

    Back on our boat for a total relaxation session with a foot massage while contemplating the sunset on the Mekong River.

  • Days 2

    Cai Be – Mang Thit – Tra On (B, L, D)

    Getting up early in the morning has the immense advantage of being able to contemplate the sunrise on the romantic river before having breakfast on board!

    We then take a junk to visit the floating market of Cai Be mythical place on the river ...

    Back on the mainland, to discover a sumptuous traditional residence, the former imperial residence. The descendants of the Kiet family open their doors for us to visit the sublime interior and browse the garden planted with countless fruit trees. Tea is offered, accompanied by a tasty sample of tropical fruits.

    We continue to the artisanal villages where rice and coconut products are made: rice alcohol, puffed rice cake, rice paper, coconut milk sweets ...

    Return to the boat, have lunch on board while the boat is moving slowly on this part of the Mekong called Co Chien.

    In the afternoon, a walk or bike ride on the trails allows us to discover the orchards, river activities and especially to get in touch with the local population.

    The boat continues in the direction of Tra On. The aperitif offered on the upper deck participates in the magic of the sun setting on a splendid landscape.

    Participation in a cooking class that gives us the opportunity to test the realization of this typical recipe of the Mekong Delta "Pumpkin flower stuffed with Mekong fish".

  • Days 3

    Tra On – Can Tho – Sai Gon (B, L)

    Breakfast on board
    Transfer by local boat to visit the Cai Rang market, one of the most important floating markets in the region, swarming with boats and small craft zigzagging on the busy waters.
     
    We will then walk along the shady creeks of fruit trees and palm trees to reach on an orchard filled with all kinds of fruits: mango, star apple, papaya, dragon fruit, coconut water ...
     
    Return to the boat to finally disembark at 11:00. The car is waiting for us and the driver takes us for lunch at the local restaurant.
     
    After the meal, we drive towards Sai Gon where we will arrive at the end of the afternoon.

    Dinner and self-sufficient in Sai Gon.
